How to Create a New Database in Magento & Give Special Privileges

Open Putty with your default Username & Copy – Paste the below Script in it. 

mysql -u root -p

Enter Password: Your Mysql Password

CREATE DATABASE magento;

CREATE USER magento_user@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'password';

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON magentodb.* TO magento_user@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'newpass'; (Permission)

FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

exit
